A Song to Remember!!

Museum of Power Meet

We finally arrived on site on Friday about 6ish after taking a wrong turn, to be greeted with a smile despite the rain by Debbie. Although it was raining it was great to just get out of the car and get straight into the caravan without getting soaked setting up having had a folding camper before. Cerys was really eager to put her new tent up but we said wait till the rain had stopped (hoping it would soon) and it did long enough for us to put up the sun canopy and Cerys’ tent. While we were eating dinner we could hear the rumble of thunder in the distance, we sat and watched as a storm passed over us, which was a big thing for me because I have been petrified of thunder and lighting ever since I was little. ( I know sounds silly!!)

Saturday started very bright and sunny with the girls playing with Sasha and Fleur in their paddling pool, which I think there was more grass than water in there but they all had fun. After lunch we went for a walk around the Museum, which I think Dave found more interesting than the girls until they discovered the old telephones worked and that they could ring and talk to each other.

Saturday evening we all got together for a BBQ and while we were sitting laughing and chatting in the lovely sunshine there was a question going along the tables not sure who asked it first but it seemed to be directed to the men of the group "What was the first dance song on your wedding day" Which to their credit all of the men did remember except one. My Hubby Dave couldn't remember ours, despite some of our members that have been married 40+ years who could remember theirs and we have been married just ten years. I was a little disappointed to say the least that he couldn't remember. As you can imagine a few of the guys took great pleasure in ribbing him about it. Even after giving some clues 2 hours had passed with people asking him every few minutes when he finally remembered the song. The main entertainment of the evening was Martin and Clive zapping themselves and each other with their bug zappers, but a few drinks may have had something to do with it but it made us laugh anyway. I think everyone would agree the evening was enjoyed by all.

Sunday was another sunny day with a book sale in aid of the Youth at coffee morning. We headed for home around 3ish.
